    Indesit Wib101.
Symptoms are originally machine stopped part way thru a wash cycle. Completely dead no leds etc..
Now it must be switched off at socket for a few mins, when powered up it starts BUT without touching anything ! Only for a few secs then dies again. No leds etc..

During these few secs, motor runs and or pump drains etc.. By itself..
Dont have to switch machine on at the machine nor go thru the normal start sequence !

What I`ve looked at so far.
1: Heating element appears ok, according to multimeter no shorts and not open circuit.
    2: Motor brushes are ok.
3: Drain motor not blocked & free to rotate etc..
4: door locks ok and cannot be opened, only after a minute or so with no power to the machine.

Cant see anything obvious on the mainboard.
At one point it would do its flaky start even with control panel disconnected!
I disconnected it as I thought maybe one of the buttons maybe stuck in..

ANY help would be VERY much appreciated..

Solved: Used a 10lb sledgehammer to render the machine fully useless then took to the local re-cycle centre..

Very therapeutic.. Feel much better now..

That’s very close to what several of the trade members would have suggested in the first place but we don’t like to appear facetious. 😉

One trade member used to recommend a trebuchet. 8)
