If you have a megger or good quality multimeter and know how to use one correctly then the first thing you should do is to isolate the machine from the mains power and then check all components for insulation faults. you should start with the heating element and the main motor.

500 units, hope they are not all Bush machines. :crying:

If and when you`ve checked all the components and are now pulling your hair out in frustration I`d cut off the moulded plug and redo a new one then try it. I had a Bush only last week and that was the plug taking out zee trip.
500 units, I hope they`re all Bush- simple machines that you can change the drum bearings if caught early enough whether it be the Turkish or the Chinese made ones, most are Turkish.

As said only way to be sure is to use an insulation (megger) to find fault. Bush in my opinion are up there with the worst machines I’ve ever come across

Although the moulded plug is often a source of such faults on other machines as well, in 99.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of cases it will trip as soon as it is plugged into the socket with that fault. 😉
