We have not seen this fridge freezer but the customer says the compressor and fan will run with the doors open, then when they close the door the compressor and fan stops running ???

Yes PCB faulty it will need a new PCB.
The new one will need to be programmed it comes with the instructions.
If the code does not work then a default code is required.

You would need to get all the info off the rating plate the phone and get the part from Matag it’s the cheapest way and they do offer trade discount if you do not have an account.
The boards have different jazz numbers so if the code on the rating plate to program it does not work you can use the default codes.
If you ask Maytag when you order they will give you the default codes.

Has anyone had this fault?very common problem and one sometimes complicated by the compressor overloading and cutting out due to the brief switch on time.
