I think the lads will need a bit more to go on that that – model number for a start, can you actually set the programme, does anything happen at all?

The dishwasher is Diplomat 12034.
The little neon lite on the right side is on when the power switch (the first on the left) is pressed in. But the start Pushbutton) does nothing.The model number will be ADP**** or APL**** and is on the rating plate on the side of the door, on the stainless bit. 12034 is not a valid model number I’m afraid.

There is power in the machine when the power button (the first on the left) is pushed in, as I expect the little light on the right side is indicating.
The machine cannot be started by pressing the start pushbutton which is the second on the left.Re: diplomat dishwasher
Hi,
That machine should have a switch assembly to select the program and an electro-mechanical timer unit on it. It’s possible that the timer is simply “stuck” (it happens) and needs reset. To do this you will need to remove the furniture door and turn the timer shaft back to the correct position for “off”, from memory.
If you’re not sure about getting the door off then I wouldn’t advise trying it as you are likely to break the lugs that hold it in place.
From the information given it should be a pretty easy fix though.
