ParticipantHi there. I have a beko washer. It has started to struggle on washing and won’t spin up on a heavy towel load. I have taken the back off and checked for slipping. There is no belt slipping. When the washer tries to spin up on centrifuge if I give it helping hand…it Whirrs away quite happily. I’m suspecting that the problem is a faulty capacitor…any ideas? ,Thanks in advance.

You suspect wrong , however as you have not given us a model number we cannot say for sure if it is likely to be worn brushes or not. You should not attempt to get it going like you are or keep running it or you run the risk of doing expensive damage.
Does it run up to full speed without a load in it and without any signs of sparking from the motor. The OOB protection is known to be a bit sensitive on BEKO’s

It would point towards an OOB problem to be honest, you could remove the motor brushes to check on their condition.
