    Hello

I have had my ZWF71443W nearly 6 months but cannot see how to empty the drain filter. The manual makes no mention. Is there no such feature on this model? On my previous non-Zanussi machines I religiously cleaned this put every few washes but this current situation worries me.

    Many thanks
    David

Give us the full PNC number and we can check, begins with 914*******

For many years the market leaders Hotpoint and Hoover did not have user accessible filters on them.

In those days people did tend to look after their machines better. If you carefully check all pockets, look out for loose buttons and don’t wash anything that is falling apart you will not need a filter.

    Hi David,

That’s one of the new ones that hasn’t got a filter or, it has but, you can’t get to it as it’s mounted underneath the outer tank with the pump on there as well.

If something gets trapped in the machine you either need to strip it out yourself or, you need to get someone in to do it for you.

It’s not clever IMO but it’s another example of cost cutting in action.

    Hi there.

Thanks for the replies. I am careful with loading + contents e.g tieing up ties etc so hopefully it shoukd remain reliable. PNC is 914912412.

Your model does not have a user accessible filter. Though there is a ‘filter trap’ that is only accessible once the pump motor is removed. So a bit of technical surgery required in order to go to those lengths.
