    That was a bit disingenuous Martin!

    Poor guy asked a reasonable question, the fact he may have been auditioning for a Top Gear presenter’s job has little to do with the original question.

    Back to the question, they were always very good. Servevast (call/spares provider) may have been behind sometimes, but excellent support, and product not bad either.

    rates are woefully low given the cost of the product we are working on. If I said certain other low end product work providers well know to this site pay more, then you get the picture.
    Having said that, quantity of work is good as nearly every new flat development (around here anyway) has smeg product fitted these days. and you get a good spares supply and discount for chargeable work-although Smeg will cream off much of the chargeable enquiries by selling the user a warranty or fixed price job before passing the job onto you. Also, in our experience, we don’t pick up a lot of chargeables once the warranty has run out despite leaving cards, stickers and mail shots to the developments- often bought by buy to let landlords who kick the appliances out as soon as they break and replace with cheaper tat.
