Hi Guys
Wondering if anyone can help me out with this, I have an electric two ring Baumatic hob that has tripped my rcd, on stripping it down I found both red indicator lamps that light up when turning the hobs on have melted and distorted, one of them to the point where the L and N have touched hence the trip out, they have melted where the connection spades are inside the unit not on the face near the rings. My questions are: is this a design fault as the hob is roughly 13 months old?, are they just cheap lamps or is this just going to keep happening once I replace them time after time?. It does look like the 240v is too much for these lamps. Many thanks for any help.
