I have a hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher. Fdf784g.r
I successfully replaced the broken door catch…..it worked. However foolishly I somehow in clipped one of the two control panels….when pressed they pushed in…no problem off with the cover and refitted…..however in order to fit correctly I decided to removed the whole top fascia to ensure all was in place…this is where the problem starts…foolishly I left the power on and somehow and tripped my fuse switch on the main board. I thought…no worries just trip it back on…..tested washer…no power….change the fuse on the spur switch..no power….change the fuse on the 13amp plug…still no power……any ideas? Thanks
You may well have blown the upper control system or the main pcb, remove the mains plug FIRST and visually examine the pcb for component damage.
The whole of the top control assembly comes as a single unit costing over £80.00, the main pcb in the base is even more expensive and needs to be programmed as well.
Iadom, thanks for the feedback. No damage to the upper PCB, Looks good to me. I may be better just getting a new washers and breaking this one down for spares? How would I know if it’s the upper or main PCB in the base that needs replacing. Cheers.
