I live in rented accommodation and have a gas tumble dryer a belling bgv7w.

Tonight I went to collect the dry clothes and noticed a light coming through the vent in the bottom. I looked through and could see flames. Once I turned off the dryer the flames stopped. I haven’t noticed this before, and wondered if there was a reason for this?

This seems to be quite an old dryer and I can’t find a manual online. I did notice that there was a little light on the control panel that isn’t normally lit, it was beside the image of a flame. would this indicate an issue with the machine?

Many thanks and i hope these aren’t silly questions!!

    Re: Gas tumble dryer question

Contact the original manufacturer Crosslee – better known as White Knight driers. The Belling is a White Knight under the skin. They may be able to help you or at least offer some advice. Don’t use it until you seek that advice. 😉
    Website:- http://www.crosslee.co.uk

    Hope that helps!
