Ah! Thanks.
Found the condenser to be blocked & consequently the heater toc o/c.
As is often the case the whole heater assembly has to be replaced, retailing at £109!!
I wander if you can purchase these toc`s seperately from somewhere?-todays big question + huge money saver + heater saver!
Will see if the machine responds to treatment next week..February 26, 2016 at 8:53 am #435771Martin

The heater thermal fuse (aka TOC) is rated at 140C so a replacement shouldn’t be too difficult to source.
Edit: £7.36 from eBay 😉

Ok.Ended up fitting a new heater assembly.Everything appeared to be fine, heating nicely.
Later today received a message-E60 has appeared again!
Could the thermal fuse blowing have affected something else or does the E60 code have to cleared 1st?March 3, 2016 at 4:01 pm #435773Latham63

Have run a diagnostic and E63 appears?
Works ok on a delicate cycle, but E60 appears on cotton cycle.
The new heater is fine, working ok.
E63 says check heater,wiring & pcb.
The drum does get extremely hot.
Apart from the thermal fuse on the heater is there a thermostat fitted anywhere else?March 3, 2016 at 4:44 pm #435774Latham63
ParticipantRe: AEG T65270AC dryer Error code
Other suggestions of E60 are fan malfunction.
Fan seems to be blowing fine.
Can only think it’s a board fault as the blocked condenser has been cleaned & new heater unit fitted?March 3, 2016 at 4:56 pm #435775Dragan

Could you give us the PNC number of this machine as the model you gave comes up as a heat pump dryer ???

I’m puzzled over this in that the E60 series error codes refers to heating element faults. However the manual lists all the codes in that series (as Dragan listed previously) but it relates to the machine using a heat pump and NOT a conventional heater.
E63= Compressor Alarm 😕
Yours sincerely
Confused 🙁

Sorry to bring an old topic up but i’ve just had a call from a customer with the very same fault code when he went into diagnostics. Its booked in for Tuesday but I was just wondering if you came up with a solution for the E63 fault.
Thanks
