    Hi,

I have a condensing tumble dryer (Hoover DYC7813NB) and when running on a timed cycle it comes up with an E15 error code and all the lights start flashing (pic attached). I got a local tradesman to have a look at it but he said he has never seen that error code before and is unable to determine the problem. Does anyone here know what that code relates to?
I’ve been in contact with hoover who want an £80 call out charge (plus parts and labour) and I’m pretty sure I’ll end up paying out the cost of the machine in repair bills if I use them (I’d really rather not).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,

    Re: Hoover DYC7813NB tumble dryer

all it takes is a google search to get this
    from this site

    E15

Heater relay faulty (ccondenser dryer models) or Open front TOC (vented dryer models)

    Condenser tumble dryer models:
    •Check heater relay
    •Check wiring
    •Check heater

    Vented tumble dryer models:
•Check front thermal overload cutout (TOC)
    •Check wiring to TOC
    •Check connectors to TOC

Yes I’m aware of that post, I gave the information to the repair chap who came out and he checked all those and said they were all fine. That post also says these error codes do not relate to all tumble dryers.
A bit more googling brings a different answer, that one says faulty memory chip on pcb but also doesn’t relate to all hoover dryers. As I’ve found conflicting information I was enquiring wether anyone knew what the code meant for my specific dryer. If Google had solved the issue for me I wouldn’t be here asking for help. Not everyone just posts without making some sort of effort to find the information out for themselves…..
    Cheers for the effort though

    Re: Hoover DYC7813NB tumble dryer

On these dryers with an LCD display E15 is supposed to be ‘main pcb not programmed’.

It could be a corrupted main board. 🙁

Yeah, just my luck! I assume that’s just about the most expensive part of the machine?
Okay, thanks for the advice. It’s still running at the minute as the error seems to be intermittent. I’ll run it till it dies and get a new one
