Hi,
I know this question has been asked before by someone else about 8 years ago but I thought I’d try again myself since I have very good reason to and who knows how many ex-Hoover engineers could be browsing here.
Last month I got a very lovely Hoover Keymatic 3224 from December 1961. I have fully restored it (not that it required much work since it’s a proper machine that’s built to last) and it is now working like new. But now I am looking to the future – I’m 21 so obviously this machine will be with me for the foreseeable and from what I gather most spares became obsolete in the 80s. In case my machine ever required attention in the future, I am now on the lookout for anything that anybody may have in their garage/attic/store room that fits this machine be it door seals, hoses, timers and everything in between.
I have rang a few shops and they said that my best bet is this forum so fingers crossed a well established engineer or ex-Hoover engineer that happens to be a hoarder may be able to help.
I hope the pictures bring back some fond memories too!
Kind regards,
James
