ParticipantHello,
I am here as we will soon be looking for a new fridge/freezer, and a new cooker as we are moving to our new home in a few weeks time.
Firstly the wife has seen this fridge/freezer in Currys and really likes it, http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/household- … 9-pdt.html
From what i’ve read on the internet is that in general Indesit should be avoided, even though reviews in general on this model are good, and perhaps Bosch is better regarded.
Our budget is £400 max, so i’m thinking either buy this and take out the £3 a month care plan, or try to find a bosch of similar spec i.e freestanding, 60cm wide, frost-free, white, and at least 87L frozen capacity, and at least A+ rated.
What do you guys think, or recommend?
I have seen the Samsung RB29FSRNDWW http://www.applianceelectronics.co.uk/viewproduct.asp with a similar spec and under budget, but can’t seem to find a Bosch that should be better?
Once we have that sorted we will be after recommendations for a cooker 60cm wide, freestanding, electric cooker, with an aprox size of 74L for the main oven, and either an induction or ceramic hob, preferably in white, within a £500 budget. We were thinking Zanussi with the induction hob, but it looks all too complicated in that you have touch buttons and a dial to control the same ring… we just want something simple and durable. (we did the magnet test on our Morphy Richards pans and they seem to be compatible with induction, if that was the route that is taken)
Thanks for any assistance you may be able to give, this is a mine field for us, thus any assistance is much appreciated.

Did you look at Beko as, in the price range, that’s probably as good as anything else?
Induction is fine once you get used to it.

Thank you, seen a Beko cooker on the curry’s site, so will take a look at that tomorrow.
There wasn’t a Beko fridge freezer we liked but think that’s now a toss up between the Samsung I mentioned or a Bosch.March 8, 2016 at 9:10 pm #436051kwatt

I’d avoid Samsung.
I meant a Beko fridge freezer, not cooker. 😉

None of the Beko’s we have seen have this ‘air-flow’ technology, would prefer this and led lighting – will look again at the bosch’s, whilst not the most attractive on the inside they do appear to be the vw’s of the refrigeration world.
