ParticipantHi as above I have an issue with drain/pump out. I had the all lights flashing error and replaced the drain pump. Reconnected it, ran a rinse and drain test on an empty machine, rinsed fine the hit the spin/drain and works for a few seconds the stops with all lights flashing. Rechecked the filter nothing in there but will not complete a drain.
Any ideas on what could be wrong. Thanks
Aly

What was wrong with the original pump?
Did you tip the machine right back to refit pump?

Same issue as described, all lights flashing. Pulled it and resistance was showing as 232ohms (watched the video by e-spares on how to replace the pump – vid titled – all lights flashing and E11 error) purchased replacement and fitted it while the machine was flat on its side. ran a test on empty machine, starts pumping out the stops after a few seconds, will do it again after I have turned off the machine and back on again.

IIf you laid it on its right hand side looking from front then you may have damaged the pressure switch.
Also if the pump had burnt out there is a very strong chance it will have damaged the main pcb.

ok, if the main pcb has been damaged why would it still work on a rinse cycle and fill the drum and go all the way to the drain then stop. It will actually pump out for a few seconds before it errors. So it might be the pressure switch which has gone screwy.

If the component on the pcb that controls the pump is faulty then it will do this.
Also the pressure switches on some of these need resetting if you have tipped them over, or in some cases the pcb needed reprogramming.March 17, 2016 at 11:31 am #436267mrsrockguru

how would one reset the pressure switch?
also reprogramming or reset the pcb how do I go about that?

1. It is recommended that the appliance is not tilted > 45° to gain access to the underneath of the appliance if water is present in the drum as this may also effect the water level readings.
2. If after any repair to the appliance the machine has been tilted >45° i.e. Tank change – pump/sump hose inspection -Pressure switch hose disconnection, or the Pressure switch has been replaced the Pressure switch must be re-set to zero level.
3. To achieve a Zero level reading on the pressure switch manually drain all water from the appliance via the drain hose by lowering it into a suitable receptacle, disconnect and re-connect the pressure switch hose, this will allow the switch to zero calibrate.
To test the appliance:
Switch machine on.
Open door and fill the drum with approximately 1 Litre of water.
Close door.
Set appliance to drain then start appliance, pump will then drain the water out. Pressure switch & Module now re-calibrated to zero.
NOTE: If the drum does not have water in it the machine drain pump will not run, even if a pump out programme is selected.also reprogramming or reset the pcb how do I go about that?
You can’t unless you have an Indesit Company supplied laptop or you want to pay over £120 for a new smart card and card reader.

Hi iadom,
Thank you for your explanation regarding the drain issue on the Indesit IWDC6125.
When you are saying: “disconnect and re-connect the pressure switch hose”, I read it as disconnect and re-connect the pressure hose from the pressure switch, (as opposed to disconnecting it from the drum.) Also, I have unplugged the machine while doing this.Update: I just saw this, from your hand: “If the lower end of the pressure hose is blocked then you are in trouble, the pressure hose is attached to the pressure chamber which on these machines is part of the totally sealed outer drum.”
The lights still come up flashing after the pump has pumped one litre out of the machine.
Any suggestions?
Kind regards,
Beer-Merlijn

Try and blow down the pipe after removing it from the pressure chamber end, there should be little or no resistance to this.
You don’t say which lights are flashing but as mentioned above it can sometimes need a reprogramming of the main pcb to clear. 🙁
