ParticipantGreetings,
Sometimes it works, otherwise it comes up with “Motor Cannot Run, Select Drain & Spin to Drain Water, call Service”. This indicates a problem related to Motor and Drive System, according to the User Manual. Else works OK.Motor is an ac, sync, 3 phase. Windings resistances seem Ok. Checked the sensors, OOB, Lid and temperature, they seem to be working. No bad smell around motor/clutch.
The Power Board Assy do not show any burnt out components, cannot find the part number of ic U11, that drives the motor. Rest of voltages seem OK.
This machine belongs to a family member, grateful for any help, bench testing motor or Power board, or any suggestions that can be provided.
Thanks.

The motor and transmission is a single unit in this model. As it works sometimes and not others, I would suspect something loose in the transmission which is jamming it.
Repair parts for the transmission are not available, the complete unit (part number 119035310) is around $260

Thank you for your quick reply, I will take out the motor/transmission and have a look.

Took the motor out, could not see any screws loose or gear teeth broken. Clutch and spring also look good.
Had a good look at the Power Board, no visible dry solder joints, no bulging caps,
all in ESR specs. The irams ic motor chip, does not physically look burnt or blown, but do these chips often go faulty?.Not sure what else I can check.

I’ve never checked the board components as they are not easily available. The electronic board is a complete unit and can only be ordered that way. (Part # 0133200089. Approx. $170)
The only way to be sure which part is faulty is being there to check at the time it fails, otherwise you take your best guess and hope you bought the right part.

Thanks your email.
Is there a way to bench test the motor, or the Electronic board ? Maybe bypassing sensors etc?

I’m not sure.I only have access to the parts list, not a wiring diagram.
