ParticipantOur ISE washing machine is seven years old and, so far, everything has been great so it was a shock to find today out that the warranty was no longer valid.
Our local washing machine repairer said that he thought the ISE was an Asco(?) and that he couldn’t help as he doesn’t know anything about them.
The machine has stuck on 1 minute on the countdown and the pump is running continuously. Is this something that I might be able to fix myself or is it a trip to the tip?

Has the machine drained out correctly and have you checked the pump filter?
This can also be caused by over soaping, try and do a reset.
Total reset of programmes
Total reset of the programme must be carried out as follows:
1. Make sure that the main power switch if off.
2. Hold the start/stop button (S1) in and start the machine by pressing the main power switch.
3. Check that any of the LEDs around the programme knob (L7 – L16) light. This indicates that total reset
has been carried out.March 23, 2016 at 2:27 pm #436490jimweb

The filter is clear. The machine was stuck on 1 minute and I had to use the manual door release. I am unable to either enter the reset programme or change the wash cycle unless I allow the pump to run until it cuts out. As soon as I start a programme the water flows for a moment and then the pump cuts in.

Well it looks like the thick end of a grand down the pan. No ten year warranty and no way of getting a repair. It’s a pity Esther Rantzen isn’t still doing her That’s Life schtick she could have sent the cameras along to see my ISE being dumped outside UK Whitegoods.

Overfill protection activated by the sounds of it.
So, two possibilities assuming that’s the case, either the overflow switch is being held open by something (blockage) or it’s faulty/jammed.

Is the overflow switch the black unit with the small pipe running into it?

Larger mechanical pressure switch.
