    Hello.

    I have a Beko WM5100w 5kg washing machine

My problem is it trips the rcd during wash

Now on a cold wash it works fine…
    – but on a 90/o wash it trips half way through wash

Am I right in saying the motor is fine mains filter / suppressor is fine and the wiring to them is also fine?

so this will leave me left with..
    – the heating element
    – the board
    – the wiring to them

I am thinking this could be the heater element but the water does get hot hence why I am confused.

what is the most likely fault and how do I test these parts?

Any help would be much appreciated
    Thanks in advance

The heater is the most probable cause, leaking to earth probably when it gets hot.

To test that though, other than swapping the heater to do it, you’d need suitable test equipment.

What I can tell you is that the heater is a fairly common one to go and it’s this one if you need one:

There is however also a cheaper alternative one, this one:

    Thanks K,

I have managed to find the fault with the Beko machine it turned out to be the thermostat in the element I had one in the workshop from another machine and all is working fine now, saved on a repair.

I rent these machines out in the Manchester area so always looking for parts and advice to save on repair costs as I am not a qualified repairer I do PAT testing so I do have many types of testing equipment

I have another 17 machines that need repairing, I will have a look at these and any advice or parts needed i will do through this site thanks again

Just be careful swapping over “thermostats” from one heater to the next. There is an NTC in this appliance not a thermostat, would recommend the correct one for the appliance is fitted.
