    Good evening all,

The above cooker has a fault with all four electric hob plates, in that they all fail to heat, but will then decide to heat intermittently.

I have only had chance to have a quick look, and they were working perfectly… customer said they have been temperamental for a week or so.

Does anyone know if there is a control unit for these hobs, (or have a wiring diagram) as the wiring/switches appear fine, and I can’t imagine all four regulators to be faulty?

    Thank you,

    jonty

Yeah the regulators are run of the mill Blue MPV0150’s, the belling part number for them is 082590800.
Most likely the cooker is pushed in too far against back wall & lid is closing against switch & causing all or some of the rings to lose supply as they all go through hob lid switch.
Pull cooker out slightly making sure “towel rail” handle is free from touching wall.

    Many thanks Seamy,

That all makes sense, as when I had a look I’d pulled the cooker out.

    Customer will be pleased.

    Thanks again,

    jonty
