ParticipantHi guys,
Been on with this a week now, my mrs is going crazy, basically she went to do a load of washing and it never started, red service light flashed and on the display it said F22
So i googled the problem… I think i read the first thing that was displayed and it was something about the door lock which seemed right due to it has intelisense that normally spins the drum before it fills with water, only this isn’t happening now, so to me it did seem like it thought the door was open,
I messed about with the door lock pushing it too and from and couldn’t get it working, so i bought a new door lock hoping this would fix the problem
NOPE – still doesn’t work i’ve tested the connections without pressing start using a electric screwdriver, power to it, looks to be no problem up top neither, ive manually pushed the switch across and it still wont fire
No matter how hard i look i cannot find a fault code list for this machine! So i’ve a feeling i’ve repaired or attempted to repair something that wasn’t even bloody broken in the first place,
All help is appreciated
Thanks
John

Oh sorry by the way
Press start with door shut, door open light does go off, so my feeling is F22 doesn’t mean the door latch is faulty, re-going over the post i read before i even bought the door lock and its for a maytag but a completely different machine 🙁

I have the same problem with a Maytag MWA10149 washing machine, fault code F22 and the wash program wont start. Did the issue with the machine in this post get resolved? As per the previous user I have already replaced the door interlock switch but the problem remains. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

F22 is listed as a MCU communication error
so its a data error from the main control board and the motor control board
all you can do is check wires for damage and remove and replace all multiplugs with small wires in case its a bad connection including the motor connections
After that it may come down to replacing boardsDave
