Participantdisplay light will come on but totally blank screen machine will not start start button not flashing green i am guessing console module :eeek:

sound like it.
if it was anything else you would get a display on the screenbefore you order take panel out and strip and look for damaged tracks. would not like you to order a panel and find something else caused it

thanks for that dave yes thats the danger of circuit board problems i have seen this before on much older models and just told the customers to replace them this one is only 3years old are you saying they need programming

no that part number is for the pre configured one so it just works
fitted a few of these type of boards but the ones I have fitted go dead completely. in my case they are integrated so tenants leave them on and never turn them off

I would check the dryer element insulation. If its low it will cause this symptom.

give em a price they decided to scrap it so glad i charge a fee to come and estimate something i never used to do its become a chuck away world

have always charged a fee to go out since i started almost 40 years ago. lose a few customers who dont want to pay but i dont want that type of client
interesting note from Bazza500 about the tumble dryer element not seen that before so if it happens again i would disconnect all wires to the timer execept the mains in. I know they work like this as i have repaired a few power supplies. that should eliminate any external factors
