ParticipantHi there,
Got a question about my dishwasher: the dishwasher turning on and off constantly(not taking any water tho), the on/off button doesnt work and program button instead chosing a program now working as an on/off button. Is that a problem just with a LED control panel or something else? I opened it and all wires look all right…

Hard to say, it does have some of the worst electronics on the market TBH.
Are you getting any lights flashing on the front?

If you are lucky it just be the buttons sticking on the control pcb, they are ‘touch’ buttons but people do insist on pushing hard on the buttons. Even that tiny pcb is over £50 though.

Not necessarily,
There a several versions of the DIF16 UK models and the same control board does not fit them all.
The FULL model number and the serial number and commercial code from the rating plate are needed for correct parts ID.

The rating plate is usually stuck down the side of the stainless steel inner door.
The numbers are for the machine, not the part.

This explains…
http://help.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/support/ … pare-parts
It’s like the VIN number on a car, get it wrong, you get the wrong bits.
Get it right, the parts are correct.
A number of people don’t follow that and get incorrect spare parts.

My advice would be to email Dave on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk as he’ll verify it all for you.
I would say though that, changing parts without knowing 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} that it is the problem is not a good plan, we like to call it “Parts Bingo”. It’s an expensive game to play and you don’t win all the time.

So what other options I got?

Take the PCB out, see if there’s any visible issues, test the buttons and see what the score is with those.
If that’s all okay, it’s probably not good news.
To chuck a £50 board at it on the off chance that might be the problem without checking seems a bit OTT.
If you can’t or aren’t able to do that then I’d suggest getting someone in to look at it for you and let them take the chance if they want to swap out boards, then that’s not your cost to bear.

Give us the full model number and the other numbers and we can tell you exactly what the part number you may need.Bear in mind that this machine has several weak points, all electronics, main circulation pump, heater, door wiring harness etc.
