KeymasterHello please help me my westinghouse dishwasher was in cycle when the power was accidentally turned off. When the power was restored there were no lights on the dishwasher but it was still working like it was washing
So I opened it up and on the joints connected to the circuit board there was a fried mouse across some of the wires. I cleaned it up the board looks ok nothing looks burnt etc but still when i power up the dishwasher continues to run but there are no lights whatsoever. What could the problem be?April 3, 2005 at 8:23 am #130638kwatt

KeymasterYou’ll need to get the model of the rating plate, it should be something like 80-400872 or in that sort of format. What you have there is off the fascia or the instruction manual which doesn’t tell us much I’m afraid.
Also, any idea of the rough age of it?

Hiya,
That model number is not listed on the current spares disc and that, invariably, means that the machine is considered obsolete. That’s not to say it cannot be repaired.
It does sound as if the PCB/contoller is goosed though and, at the age of it, whether it’s worth doing anything with it, unless there’s a reason to save it, is dubious in my opinion.

Was it bought in the UK? Because it’s strange a 9 year old machine is not listed on the current UK information unless it wasn’t intended for the UK market in the first place 💡

its an australian dishwasher, i priced a new pcb for it damn expensive 😯
so i tried to find a fault with pcb from my limited electronics experience, theres nothing burnt or obviously wrong with the board. i traced 5v goin into the ST controller chip so i know its at least getting power, after that i got lost 😆April 5, 2005 at 3:34 pm #130646Martin
