Hi All
I am having a new kitchen and want to have a full height fridge and freezer side by side, with doors opening in the middle. I don’t want them built in, but want them the same depth as kitchen units and to have a housing around them and units above them- all the kitchen units will extend to ceiling height.
I don’t want an American thing with an ice box etc etc, just a proper fridge, with no ice box, and a proper freezer.
I’m looking for some advice as to makes and sizes that will align with standard size kitchen units. I have looked at some models by Liebherr (http://home.liebherr.com/en/ltu/househo … -4310.html for example) but think they will be out of my price range.
I want something reliable – can anyone recommend a good middle market label- (not Hotpoint or Electrolux – have had nightmare experiences with them in the past, and won’t touch them now) that will meet these requirements?.
Also, do I need some kind of kit to link the two machines together- if I have to have a gap between them for ventilation it will look ugly. I believe Liebherr do make such a kit, does anyone else?
Lastly, honest opinions, is it better to go this route or to get one linked fridge and freezer like the ones Liebherr do

– and if so, is there a cheaper version??
Sorry to be so long, but thanks for any thoughts
