Bosch Logixx Tumble Dryer keeps cutting out!

Hi All

I posted an earlier topic but did not manage to resolve the fault so I am asking for more help!

I have a Bosch Logixx WTS86516GB Tumble Dryer (Condenser type) with the following symptoms: Starts OK and runs for a while (10-20 minutes), but then stops with the ‘Start/Stop’ red led flashing. When I press the ‘Start/Stop Button’ the machine attempts to kick in (and sometimes does run for a few seconds), but then the display goes off completely for a couple of seconds and then (as before) stops with the ‘Start/Stop’ red led flashing. I suspect it has something to do with a thermal cut-out protection, because if I leave it for a while (10-20 minutes) to cool down with the door open and then press ‘Start/Stop’ it will run for longer (another 5 or 10 minutes or so); but, then re-exhibits the same symptoms (i.e. stops with the red ‘Start/Stop’ led flashing).

So far, I have replaced the NTC thermistor at the front of the machine (just inside the door where the fluff collector/filter goes), and changed the thermostat as well as the NTC at the back of the machine (they are both close to each other at the back and can be reached by taking off the back cover. However, no luck – it still stops as described above. I do not suspect the controller as everything else works fine. Is there anything else I should check?

I am trying one last attempt to seek guidance from anybody who may have experienced such a fault, before I give up and call in the repair specialist!
