This side by side fridge/freezer within 18 hours freezes to -20 C on digital display and defrosts. Inside freezer the temperature is measured at -16 C. Appliance remains in defrost state. By resetting defrost temperature the same freezing & defrost process repeats itself.
It seems that the freezer continues to freeze beyond the optimum temperature there- by triggering the defrost process. Could this be due to a faulty temperature sensor and if so which one should I get as there seem to be many available?
This is not an icing issue as seems to be a common problem with these fridge/freezers.
