Machine stops mid cycle with ‘E check water’ in display.

I have changed the inlet reed switch and it filled perfectly on test.

Customer has now rung back to say fault is still there but as before is intermittent.
Mains water pressure is OK, any other known causes?

    Jim.

AFAIK the mains pressure is fairly consistent through out the day.

I had one changed the impellor jug worked OK but got recall to it doing the same, I changed it again and it cured it don’t know if she moisture got on plug causing the 1st one to error.

Check water can also be an emptying fault.

I had a faulty impellor jug that cured the fault for a few washes but then went back to error. Checked everything else and fitted new jug out of desperation …. It’s been fine for 7 months 😉

Hi Jim, is the base clear of water? I had one of these yesterday, leak from circulating pump seal in sump housing.

Base totally dry, tried another reed switch but suspect there may be a pcb fault. Customer now tells me that it works intermittently but then throws up E01, E21 and also E25 as well as Check Water???

    Re: Bosch D/W ‘check water’

E25 is faulty drain pump; E21 is blocked or restricted heatpump, E01 is faulty PCB. I have had some spurious fault codes when the wash motor is failing; E21 and E24; E25 can also manifest a ‘check water’ signal; all could be linked….. prob. wash motor.
It’s the E01 that is the scary one……

Yes, I did look them all up, the E01 shows at switch on only, switching on and off seems to clear that one. Machine is definitely not draining correctly. All hoses and undersink drain completely clear, flap valve operating correctly. Drain pump appears to run but because of the sycasm system it’s hard to tell if the pump is failing or being switched on and off by the controls.

That is assuming this machine does use sycasm drain pump operation????

I have a drain pump on the way to try before I kick into the long grass. 🙁

Just to tidy this one up, a new drain pump sorted it. 8)
