    Guys,

I wonder if any of you could advise me on a Bosch SGS43A52GB/35 I’ve been to see. The customer reported the machine was not emptying, when I inspected it I saw that it actually did although very slowly. A closer look at the matrix showed greasy deposits in the top lefthand corner. When draining the pump appeared not to have the strength to force water over the drainage pipe again at the top lefthand corner of the matrix. Am I right in thinking that it is the visible deposits causing this issue? There were no blockages in an other waste related pipework.

    Yours in advance.

The detritus in the top corner of the matrix (adjacent the air valve) could be the problem though it would have to be in quite a state for that to be the case. In order to double check the whole drain system is clear, remove the flap valve in the sump, put the drain hose onto the cold tap and flush a blast of water into the tub. If that flows in that direction OK then that confirms the matrix is not the issue. The pump itself or the flap valve could be at fault.
