ParticipantMy folks bought a Creda condencing dryer at the end of last November. To date it has had the heater replaced once and the pump replaced. These were at the behest of the supplier’s service department.
The engineer came recently to replace the heater for a second time but they have stalled on this repair saying that they wanted a replacement dryer under the various Sale of Goods Acts etc.
Any thoughts on what chance they have of getting one.

Is or was this dryer sold in the UK?
.. ‘Cos you mentioned “Heater” and “Pump” which don’t relate to a UK produced product :con:

The new range of dryers have a lift pump in the bottom, water tank at the top

Models TCR2 & TCS3
As to the chances of a replacement, I would say low. It depends on the dealer that sold the appliance, not Creda (Merloni or The Indesit Company) but you can always try.April 3, 2005 at 8:44 pm #130685Jayb

Hi
I believe it was the TCS3 model, I was surprised that for apparantly a top of the range machine it has failed 3 times in 4 months.
The service department has the last word on exchanges so I am not holding my breath. I hope we could have used the “satsifactory quality” clauses from the recent acts.

😀
Because most manufacturers would deal with the service/repair of the product in guarantee whereas Comet have an agreement with most that they carry out their own in guarantee service, thereby gaining a discount on the product cost price.
Where did you buy it Jay ? 😀
Dave.

Hi Dave.
I did not buy it, my folks did and I believe you are correct in your assumption of supplier as that is one of the several comapnaies they looked at.

I believe it was the TCS3 model
OK, please check the model number from the label inside the door as we’re making assumptions to a certain extent with any possible diagnosis 😉
