JLWM 1203 won’t complete a cotton 60 wash.

Hi, i have a John Lewis JLWM 1203 washing machine that won’t finish its cotton 60 wash. It gets down to 1 minute, the drum then slowly rotates in one direction,and then in the other direction for about 5 minutes, and then goes back to 2 hours. If i select it to RINSE then it completes this cycle with no problem what so ever, and even spins. Now the interesting part this only happens when the drum is loaded, not when its empty. This only happens when selected to cotton not on the synthetic setting. I have an error code “E52”, and the machine is about 7 years old.
