Hi to all , apologies for what appears to be going over old postsbut bare with me , after reading as much as I could regagarding the multiple posts I tried to go & carry out what I could , firstly this is a whirlpool 6th sense fridge freezer purchased around 2004, in its lifetime the front & rear pcb’s were replace twice , the water dispenser valve replaced , now I have the condenser freezing up I then ordered the rear capacitor set from this site & carried out the replacement , ten days later same thing condenser frozen , so manual defrost then I buy a thermistor from here , ten days later same thing , so I then put the test mode on this shows the code 2 = air baffle so I remove the covers to reveal the baffle which actually opens and closes that was not frozen , so this leaves me wondering if its intermittent or another fault maybe the defrost heater , I don’t want to end up spending more & more on this appliance as it could be an endless pit , okay some of you may say 12 years is fine & how many years do I expect it to work for , valid point but look what has been replaced in those 12 years , this was an expensive appliance then , I either scrap it or invest in one more component , any help or constructive comments are more than welcome .

To be honest, at that age I’d give up as I don’t think it’s worth spending any significant money on.

Well that’s what I was thinking , I may put it on eBay for parts , although john Lewis currently have trade in offers up to £150 , that’s my best option I think , thanks for you’re response Kwatt.
