My mum’s inner over door shattered on her Electrolux insight oven the oven was on as usual to come up to temperature of 180 when the glass just shattered.
What causes this to happen as she had a credacare free cooker over 12yrs never had a problem.
Is this glass available at a reasonable price is there any other glass that will fit or does if have to be from a Electrolux insight .
And what can you do to make sure it does not happen again thanks for any replies fasetester

Uhm, looks like that cooker was made in Spennymoor, so it’s a good number of years old I place that one round about 2007/8.
The inner glass on the main oven is 3491567016.

Dunno if anything else would fit and TBH I wouldn’t chance it as if it moves, it’ll score then blow.

Before I take the door apart could any tell me is the frame popriveted before I drill them out thanks fasetester

From the schematic it doesn’t look riveted Fase. Splits apart on removal of the handle screws by the looks of it.

Thanks Martin for the reply tried all my tork bits nothing fits to remove the top of the inside of the oven frame where glass slides in nothing will grip them to remove them is their a special bit I see the handle is held on to the outside glass with star heads fasetester

The top trim is simply clipped on and is removed by pulling towards you no tools are needed
