    hi,

I’ve just fitted new carbon brushes to my old TKL 925, and there is a slight electrical burning smell when it’s working – especially on spin.
Is this a bedding in thing, or does it point to a different problem.
The old brushes were very worn – sparking, machine wouldn’t spin – but apart from the smell the machine now works perfectly, with no sparks and no unusual noise.

I would expect an electrical sparking smell as brushes bed in but any other smell is suspect
when you fit new brushes it is a good idea to do lighter loads and lower the final spin speed for about the first 10 washes
