ParticipantHello,
I hope someone can help me. Our Hoover VisionTech VT1014D23 (now out of warranty) was halfway through a wash cycle when it started to work erratically. It runs for about 4 seconds, then cuts out completely (the display goes blank) for the next 4 seconds, then it comes back to life and runs for another 4 seconds. It keeps up this switching on and off indefinitely.
Could it be some kind of thermal cut out? There are no error codes displayed.

Thanks Dave, is there just a single board in these machines? How can I confirm that is the fault?

difficult no easy way to be sure 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} but is sounds like the board power supply is acting up
you could contact EMW electronics or http://www.qer.biz/servreps.htm
and see if they can test and repair this board.
another problem that we are getting these days is unprogrammed boards so if you buy a new one its useless unless you have the gear to programme itDave

I took the board out. Sadly there was no obvious problem, like a blown electrolytic, so I put it back together. Since reassembling, the machine no longer displays anything – it appears completely dead.
I will contact QER as you suggest. I am a pessimistic, but it would be a terrible shame to scrap the whole machine for the sake of what is likely to be a single component.
Thanks for your help

Hi
Dependent on the product and serial number there is approx 6-8 different versions of board required on this machine. It maybe better to get a complete new board. will need the 16 digit number tho to confirm board.

Thanks Bryan.
I found this:
http://www.buyspares.co.uk/module-progr … =VT1014D23But sadly out of stock. As we now don’t have a working machine, I can’t take the risk of it taking weeks to be restocked.
Any suggestions as to where else may have it?

Hi
How do you know that that one was the correct one.. As I have stated there are about 8 different ones dependent on the 16 digit product/serial number. You are not guaranteed the correct one without this information as they are different. We hold most of them in stock.
