When I press the on/off button to start my Bosch dishwasher, the water pump starts and continues endlessly but no washing action begins.

Can you tell me what you think the problems is and the spare part I need to order to fix it?

    Many thanks,

    Michael.

the base of the dishwasher is a tank that catches water that leaks ( if any) this tank has a float that stop the programme and turns on the pump till the water is removed

has to be emptied by hand means taking one of the sides off so you can mop it out

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply. Since last email the dishwasher has worked a bit and then stopped again. I guess that is because water does evaporate from the tank and water level goes down.

As you suggested previously, I should take off one side of dishwasher and mop out the tank – so do I need to buy any parts?

I did try once before to take off one side and found it very difficult as there didn’t seem to be anyway to dismantle it. It seemed like there was one large fastener in the middle of the bottom of it which required a special tool to undo.

    Any suggestions to dismantle it?

    Michael.
