Hi. If I hold the button down the it all works ok, but as soon as I let go the whole thing goes off again. Is that likely the switch gone? I did take front panel off the other day as the door wasn’t closing properly.

Hi, it’s SGS43E08GB/43. I think it’s more serious now! I jammed the button in and it seemed to complete the wash, but then got stuck on 1 minute until the end and doesn’t seem to finish! 🙁

The model number you gave shows that it’s included in Bosch’s FREE product safety recall. It’s important you go on their website and check it out though you will need to supply the FD number also.

Go google Repairaction Bosch and follow the prompts.

Yes thanks for that. Someone come round some time ago and updated it for that problem.

Which button do you refer to? The on/off switch on the left or one of the programme selector buttons?

Sorry, the main on/off button on the left. Hold it down and it seems to work OK (although now the countdown timer was stuck on 1 minute yesterday!).

Then you’ll need to replace that switch unit. The part number of which is 00165242. The 1 min error should clear once that switch is replaced, though you may have to press reset first to be sure.
