Anyone had this problem.. when it starts it runs pump for around 30 seconds or so then goes dead. I would expect it to start filling? Then after a while it starts pump again.

Have checked inlet valve and ok, tested from the board to eliminate o/c in harness.
The dw is a beko model.
Ordered a pcb but customer having a moan so dont want to go with board and find out that its not that.

    Any help appreciated

Have you checked the anti flood system? Maybe a stuck microswitch or jammed float?

Inlet valves can test OK but still not allow water to pass. Check power is going to the inlet valve after initial drain sequence. depending on the model it may take a minute. Also check the pressure switch hose for blockages or the operation of the pressure switch. 30 seconds cut off is usually a time out of the pre wash drain. It may still think there is water in the appliance but its actually a pressure switch fault.

If no luck with any of them and no error codes flashing then I think your diagnoses is correct.

Problem was o/c in door harness. I had tested from board to valves ok?
My son spotted it pretty quick so red face here.

Had a similar one today, no wash after filling. Broken wires in the door harness!
I thought manufacturers had this sorted, obviously not. Dishwasher fires next?
