h/p washer/dryer

got a hotpoint washer/dryer wdl540, flashing lights when dryer was on so checked the dryer filter which was blocked thought that was it, but now works fine but clothes come out wet, no blocks anywhere, i think its because no water is going in, some goes in at the start then none, should be a trickle all the time? and is it from the hot valve as the hose goes into the back of the drum? valve tests ok
