    Hi,

I’m new to this forum but would be grateful for any help anyone could offer. I have ice forming underneath my freezer which is melting on the floor. (The fridge is kept in the garage)

I read Dave Conway’s comment on insulation problems at the base and suspect this is what is happening here.

The fridge is old but I wondered whether the fridge should just be scrapped or whether anything can be done to solve the problem.

    Thanks

    Definitely insualtion.

    Hotpoint by any chance ?

It could carry on working like that for many months or even years, it’s just the mess the water makes.

Not a financially viable prospect to re-insulate in all honesty 😉

    Dave.

And yo think, a simple run of silicone sealant could have saved so many of them…

    😕
