    This machine stopped before the final spin cycle. It had a normal load and ha done one wash this morning without any problem.
    We managed to open the door and remove the washing and empty the water out.
    A service engineer is coming on Saturday to try and fix it.
    Any idea what may be wrong. The machine is over 10 years old so may not be worth repairing. It has given good service and is used several times each week.

    The most likely possibility is that the motor brushes need replacing. In any event though it’s a good machine and worth investing on a fix.

    An engineer from a local company came out on Saturday morning. Fitted a new pump
    and new bushes on the motor which drives the drum.
    It is now working correctly. Well worth the reasonable cost. Hope it now lasts another ten years.
