    Hi there

My name is Daz I’m 35 years old and am in need of some assistance if possible please 🙂

I have an idesit idc85 which no longer gets warm (partner opened door mid dry)

I tried changing the 2 thermostats with no luck

So then brought whole new heater element with thermostats with safety cut outs

Swapped parts out but still doesn’t get hot 🙁

I have hoovered all filters out

    Still nothing

I have read apart safety thermostat cut out switch to poke a pin into but I cannot locate this on this model have took back cover off but no red button or pin hole 🙁

Could anyone please help me what else to try 🙁

    Many thanks

    Daz

the safety switch is part of the heater and if you have changed that it will be ok

one long shot make sure you turn the timer on to about 30 mins or more as the last 10 mins does not heat

if that fails then it maybe
    Timer
    front thermostat
and from memory i think the tank full switch affects the heat on some dryers

all you need is a multi meter that buzzes when you touch the leads together. touch both stat terminal with the wires off. if it buzzes its ok

my money is on the timer. there is a heater contact in the timer that can fail but everything else will work
    but
its going to get expensive if you keep swapping parts to find the fault

Has your dryer had the ‘fire risk’ safety modification repairs done?
