    Hi Guys.
    Real strange one this.
    Main oven fan motor sometimes fails to run but element heats up as normal.
    Every time I tried it the motor ran fine so it’s a mystery.
    Before I start swopping different things,has
    anybody come across this problem?.

    I would say fan motor. Sometimes the shaft of the motor gets clogged with baked in grease, restricting movement. Maybe just windings have gone.

    Fan motor appears ok.
    It’s smooth running and shows no faults.

    The fan motor is the most likely culprit but it’s costly at almost £100. The selector switch that controls the fan could also be the reason it’s intermittent. That is far cheaper to replace. 😉

    I was thinking selector as the fan seems ok but as it’s very intermittent who knows.
    I’ll see what customer wants to do.

    Just make sure they’re not selecting circo-therm grilling as on this setting, the grill element and fan alternate every few minutes.

    Have you tested/tried 240v across fan connections to check fan?
