ParticipantI have a Liebherr CS-2062 refrigerator with bottom freezer unit and have been experiencing freezer troubles as of late. The freezer temperature alarm goes off every few days and I have to press the supercool button to get the temperature back down. Interestingly after pressing the super cool button the temperature reading for the freezer never gets to anything less than the negative freezer temperature I set (I believe it should go below -20).
I’ve read some forum posts with people having similar issues. (https://www.avforums.com/threads/liebhe … g.1207939/) I made sure that there was no frost buildup, and that the spacing of food in the freezer was adequate for proper airflow. Also the refrigerator temperature is 38°F and the freezer temperature is -5°F.
I feel that I’d be able to tackle some basic troubleshooting if you could be so kind as to guide me through some testing I’d appreciate it.

You will have to be more specific on what cabinet it is, a global search on that info gave this…

I’m sorry, but unfortunately my fridge does not have a service tag on the inside of the pull out drawer.
For my research, it appears to be an issue with the freezer sensor – im pretty sure part #60 of http://www.guaranteedparts.com/picture_ … 202062.pdf
Any ideas for troubleshooting before I buy the part? Do you think the sensors are all the same for each class of the CS-2062?
Thanks

Okay if there’s no service number, is this a commercial unit?
Perhaps a special for someone that Liebherr made?
If it is and there’s no service number we will not be able to access any information on the unit whatsoever so, we would not be able to tell you what parts are fitted, if you’re ordering the correct part or even if you’re on the right track with the diagnosis. Reason being, we’ve no idea what we’re looking at.
The CS-2062 is pretty much meaningless so far as I can tell and I did try the other numbers you gave but to no avail also.
A fuller explanation of how and what information is required for Liebherr is here:
https://help.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/support … pare-parts
If we can’t find the unit, we can’t tell you anything is basically the position.
A word of caution though if you are thinking on taking a punt on some part that “looks like” what you think it could be or a model that “looks like” the one you have, there are multiple iterations and variations with Liebherr. Order the wrong one, a couple digits different on the service number is all it takes and you will all too possibly get an incorrect part, even if it looks the same.
This applies to most these days but getting to the correct part number on Liebherr is utterly vital and it is very easy to mess up. That’s why we don’t show model numbers or service numbers on Liebherr spares, it’s too easy to botch ordering them.

In that case the freezer thermistor is this one:
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/9590206 … ure-sensor
It’s been changed, will not be the same as the original.
It’s also possible even probable that’s the reason for it but the fridge and freezer have separate compressors so, it could be a refrigerant system issue also.

Before I replace the part I’m going to instrument the freezer with a temperature logger for a few days so I’ll have data to understand the before and after.
Have any of you replaced this thermistor before? Is it difficult?
Thanks again for all of your help!

9590206 is a kit, the old sensor is cut off and joined with the new kit, which now includes silicone filled connectors placed inside a waterproof box.
