    Hello,

I have a Bosch tumble dryer, model E-nr. WTE84104GB/17 that has recently started to completely turn off while drying, with no lights.

Today I have removed the top and side panels, cleaned out pump and float, reservoir, hoses, condenser, lint collector, had a air line/hoover on it all to get rid of any dust.

It did run a full cycle, the program ended. I then pressed the start stop button and it turned off again and wouldn’t turn back on for a few minutes.

I also tried pausing the dryer while it was drying, and again it shut off.

We did have someone around to look at it a few days back, who said it was the board, but didn’t have the equipment to test it.

Maybe it is the board, but as it did run a full cycle, and then turn off I was thinking perhaps it’s overheating, as after a few minutes with it off, when it did turn back on, it would then only dry for a few 2/3 minutes before turning off again.

Many thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Try pluging the dryer into a differant plug socket.

    Thanks chaps.

Gerry, yer I’ve moved it from the utility room to the garage, and it still does the same thing.

Martin, thanks, I’ve ordered a few through hole capacitors, so will change them out and see.
