Had an accident with a knob on the (gas) hob of my oven; the brand is obscure I can’t find it on the internet anywhere – it is an EL1000. It’s an inbuilt dual fuel, and I can’t find any more info, or take the oven out to look as it’s a rental place. Does anyone know where I might be able to get a spare knob?

    Hi

I believe I have the same oven, but also cannot work out what the make is.

Did you ever work out who makes it? I am trying to find a replacement seal for the oven door.

    Many thanks

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

Sorry- think I was a bit vague.

I appear to have the same cooker model as the first poster on this thread – the manufacturer isn’t clear, but the model number is ‘EL1000’. It is an electric oven with a gas hob.

My problem is that I am trying to source a replacement seal for the oven door – but since I cannot determine the manufacturer this is proving very difficult.

I know it’s a longshot – I just wondered if you had managed determine the make of the cooker when you responded to the initial poster’s message.

    Thanks for your time,

    Jed Stagg

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

To be honest I can’t remember now but I think I sorted it.

Can you find any other numbers on the cooker anywhere ?

If there’s a warming/storage compartment at the bottom check in there as quite often the rating plate is stuck on the inside somewhere.

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

I have checked again, and still can’t find any idenitification on the oven 🙁

And it doesn’t have a warming / storage compartment.

    Thanks anyway,

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

OK, in that case, can you take a picture of the seal and email it to me indicating the dimesnions please.

Many oven door seals are very similar and will interchange quite easily, I’ll find something for you 😉

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

Did anyone find out anymore on this brand please?
I have the same electric cooker and separate gas hob in enamelled black, both labelled EL1000. I my case, one of the elements in the oven needs replacing. Whoever made this oven did a great job of hiding their real brand! I believe that they are from 1998/1999.
    Many thanks.

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

If you can do the same as jedstagg Alex and email me a picture of the element, I’ll be able (I hope) to identify it that way for you 🙂

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

I also need cooker knobs (4 for the hob and 2 for oven)

Did anyone have any luck in tracking down the manufacturer?

Someone told me it is a Wickes brand and was given the number of Electrolux – but it is not them.

I don’t mind buying cooker knobs from another brand, so long as they match and work. This is what I need:

    -white colour
-low profile (short like a volume contol knob). High ones are no good.
    – straight bit on the back matched the “mark or dot” on the front.

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

There has to be more numbers on this oven/cooker, all appliances have a rating plate (a legal requirement) with the voltages etc on, this is where the model number will be more than likely.

It’s also not clear what type of cooking appliance this is, the EL1000 part would indicate a 1000mm range cooker but that may not be the case. If it’s an integrated (built in) oven then the hob would be a seperate appliance and this wouldn’t be a duel fuel appliance.

    Could an owner confirm please:

    Type of appliance

The full model number from the rating plate, if built in it may need to be removed from the housing to find this or possibly on the rear somewhere if it’s freestanding.

    Thanks.

    Dave.

    Re: EL1000 cooker knob

    Hello.
Reading this post with interest as my EL1000 built-in oven needs a new bottom element and my local supplier hasn’t been able to find a match.

I can confirm that there is NO rating plate or manufacturer info anywhere on the appliance. Not on the outside or the inside of the oven, top sides or bottom. There is a strip of silver sticky tape (with any print scrubbed clean off) at the bottom of the door which may at one time have held the rating information.

The element I need is rated at 1300w with a part number stamped on it as follows: 8071RCA0998R220V-230V1300W

Can anyone help with this. I have a photo of the broken element if that helps.
