    Hi Guys,

I wonder if you could help.
The PCB on our Hotpoint Aquarius Ultima 1200 (WD71 has blown.
We can get a replacement online, but have heard these things may need to be configured?
Is this true? and is it possible for a non-technician to do?
The machine is quite old, so not worth spending a fortune on….so if not, it seems likely headed for the Laundrette in the sky….

    Many thanks

    Simon

    Re: HOTPOINT WD71 – Replacing a PCB

There are two main pcb’s on these one of which does need simple configuring. The downside is that both of these pcb’s are generally quite robust so they are usually ‘blown’ by other faults which together with the cost of the boards does make them an uneconomic project. 🙁

Which circuit board has blown, the control board or the power board?

    [attachment=1:1iog4jtq]20160727_090844[1].jpg[/attachment:1iog4jtq]Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

I think it’s the control board that’s blown, I’ve attached a picture, showing the damage.

The machine has been taking some time to get going, indicating that the door needs to be shut for a short period of bleeps, before getting going, so we thought the interlock switch may be at fault?

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated…

    Thanks

Door interlock a common cause of this failure, depends how much you have to pay for a new pcb, part number is C00202229, old number 1604282, list price £103 or more. You must change the doorlock at the same time though.

This board does need programming but the sequence is quite simple.

    Ok, I think we’ll give it a try…we already had a new interlock, but hadn’t fitted it yet… 🙁

Is there anywhere online I can find the configuration sequence?

    Many thanks once again…
