    Hi,
    I have samsung rsh5ubbp fridge/freezer, it won’t make ice. I’ve used the reset button and it twists then fills with water and that’s it. It doesn’t empty when water turns to ice it just stops. I’ve also had a problem with the freezer, display was reading -21 but food was defrosting, I unplugged and plugged back in several times and then reset the filter light. I think the freezer has started working again now. Could the ice maker be causing the freezer to go into fault? No error code came up on the initial freezer issue.

    If it doesn’t get down to temperature, it won’t make ice.

    Most of them need to hit -18?C before it’ll harvest ice. If it doesn’t hit that, no chance.

    I wouldn’t trust the display as, if it’s a faulty thermistor (sensor) it may well be telling you lies.
