    Hi guys,

    Model number: SGS45E08GB/45

My dishwasher doesn’t seem to be able to get through a complete cycle.

It always seems to get stuck on the draining part of the cycle. I believe it IS actually draining, as I hear all the water gushing out and it eventually sounds like it’s “sucking on empty”. But it doesn’t seem to detect that it has drained enough of the water out and so gets stuck, preventing it from continuing with the rest of the wash cycle.

I’m wondering if the problem is something to do with the water level sensor (if there is such a thing?!). If I tip the dishwasher over to one side slightly and hold for a few seconds, then it will start filling with water as normal and continue with the rest of the wash process. But when it comes to the next drainage part of the cycle, it often gets stuck again (but not always). So for the past few days I’ve been coaxing it through by tipping the thing, with varying degrees of success.

It will also continue trying to drain if the door is opened.

Pls see this video I shot which might be of some help:

I have cleaned the dishwasher filter etc as much as possible, and checked the non return valve but this seems to be fine. Haven’t taken the side off yet to investigate, as I thought I would get some guidance here first for what to look for / check in particular.

    Would really appreciate any help!

    Cheers,

    Richard

if the drain pump does not stop sound like the antiflood switch is on because the base has flooded

Re: Bosch Exxcel Stuck On Draining Process?

Thanks, Dave. You were right. The base had water in it. The float valve thing was a bit calcified and so wasn’t moving freely. It was therefore overfilling a bit each time into the base. Emptied the base, cleaned it up so the float moves freely and it no longer overfills. Now works fine.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers, Rich
