    Afternoon all,

I know that this is an unorthodox topic but I need to be in touch with engineers like yourselves. If there is another section of the forum where this topic would be more comfortable please can the moderators move it.

I’m a vintage appliance enthusiast and I’m looking for a couple of vintage Hotpoint washing machines from the 1970s for my display. In particular, I’m looking for a Hotpoint Liberator with the pink & purple controls and a purple door (models 1850, 1851, 1828, 1824, 1848, 1827). I’m also keen to find the very uncommon Hotpoint front loader with the square door (models 1600 or 1830). Other vintage washing machines such as Hoover Keymatics or Servis Selectronics are also of interest. For further information please do not hesitate to contact me via personal message or email. The condition of the machine is not really important and I’m happy to pay a reasonable price. I can arrange pick up from anywhere in the UK & Ireland.

    Many thanks!

    James

    Re: Hotpoint Liberator Wanted

    James,

I was in behind Callaghans of Burt today looking for 2nd hand parts and i noticed two old type hotpoint dryers, they are not the Liberator models but are definatly 30 plus years old. They are not in great shape but maybe they would be good for you for parts. Callaghans will have no problem with u taking these with you as long as u go in and speak to Dermott first.

    Hi Gerry,

Thanks for the heads up, I was talking to Dermot and I have a dryer like one of the ones there so I didn’t pursue them.

    James
