Went to a Hotpoint WF741 with all lights flashing. Found the usual 680mF capacitor blown on the PCB. Replaced it. Washing machine then appeared to be working, but on spin cycle, the pump comes on for 3s then stops for 10s and repeats ad infinitum, doesn’t seem to be any drum action after a couple of agitations.
I have checked for blockages and removed coins, hairpins etc., checked resistance on the pump (ok). Checked brushes (ok), cleaned motor comm. None of which has made any difference.

Before I send off the PCB for repair/exchange, is there anything I have missed?

QER didn’t find any fault with the board when they tried it on a machine, pump was continuous, so I got them to send it back to me. Going back to this machine tomorrow, I suspect it’s something else

It’s a WT741, not WF741. But aside from this, I put the board back in, checked the hoses again. Tried it and it worked fine. Bit of a mystery that one…
